Description

Is it a tiger? An owl? A person?  You will have to decide. We will tell you that artist Victor Moscoso called the piece, "Pink Panther."

In 1967, shortly after the release of The Doors eponymously titled debut album, Chet Helms booked the group for 4 shows at the Avalon Ballroom. This show was in June, 1967; just 6 months after the release of The Doors first album. The Doors album peaked at #2 on Billboard charts in October 1967. In May, a month before this concert, they released the classic “Light My Fire,” as a single and that was climbing the charts at this show. This poster is the fourth & final of a string of prints that Moscoso would produce for The Doors at the Avalon Ballroom.
